Job Description
Our Marine Propulsion Specialist role focuses on the servicing and maintenance of propellers, rudders, and thrusters. You will handle specialized tasks such as propeller balancing, rudder fabrication, and thruster installations, ensuring optimal vessel performance. This role is perfect for detail-oriented engineers with expertise in marine propulsion systems.
Responsibilities
- Service and rebuild folding and variable pitch propellers
- Perform vacuum pitch propeller servicing and balancing
- Fabricate and service rudders and steering systems
- Install and maintain bow and stern thrusters
- Conduct quality checks to ensure system performance
- Collaborate with engineering teams on propulsion system upgrades
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with marine propulsion systems
- Knowledge of propeller, rudder, and thruster mechanics
- Experience with fabrication and balancing techniques
- Ability to work in a coastal environment
- Strong attention to detail and technical expertise
- Valid driver’s license
